Tandoori Flame Restaurant

Our place is located at 245 Usha Nagar in Indore, right across from the Ranjit Hanuman Mandir. Since we’re opposite the temple, we see a lot of people coming in after they finish their prayers. It’s a nice part of town, though it gets quite busy during festivals. We opened Tandoori Flame Restaurant because we wanted a simple spot where people could eat without any fuss. The interior isn't anything special, just tables and chairs that work. In the kitchen, things are always moving. We go through a lot of charcoal every day to keep those tandoors hot. It’s a dusty job, and it’s definitely not glamorous, but it’s what we do. Our team is small, just a few cooks and some guys to help with service. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. We mostly just focus on the tandoor and making sure the dough is fresh. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the crowd is bigger than we expected, but people around here are usually understanding. It feels like a neighborhood spot because it is. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the regular rickshaw drivers. It’s just a regular life running a restaurant in Indore. We stay open late most nights and then start all over again the next morning. There is always something to clean or someone to serve, and we just take it one day at a time.
