Shahji Da Restaurant

If you are walking around Tilak Nagar in Indore, you might find us at Shop Number 164. Shahji Da Restaurant is tucked into Sector No E, near Bhaktawar Nagar. It is a busy neighborhood with a lot of houses and other small shops packed together. We’ve been operating out of this small space for some time now. It’s not a place where you’d find fancy decorations or soft music. Instead, you hear the sound of the stove and people talking. We have a few tables, and they are almost always full in the evening hours when everyone comes out for a stroll. The staff is just a couple of us who handle everything from taking orders to cleaning up the plates. Indore is a city that loves its food, so we have to keep up with the pace. The shop stays open until the streets start to get quiet. We get a lot of students and young people who live in the rentals nearby. They like that it’s a straightforward place where they can just sit and eat. We spend our mornings getting the kitchen ready and making sure we have enough supplies for the day. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we know. We don't have any big plans, just staying here in Tilak Nagar and serving the people who walk through our door every day.
