Rambabu Paratha & Restaurant

We are located in the LG 2 level of The Horizon building. It is on Nath Mandir Road in South Tukoganj. Being in a lower ground spot means it stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is nice when you are standing over a hot tawa all day. Making parathas is what we do mostly. The smell of ghee and toasted flour is always hanging in the air around here. South Tukoganj is a pretty central part of Indore, so we get a mix of office workers and people living nearby. The Nath Mandir is just down the road and that brings in a lot of people on certain days of the week. Our space isn't very large, so things can feel a bit cramped when it is busy, but people don't seem to mind much. They just want their food. We spend the morning kneading big mounds of dough and getting the stuffings ready. It is messy work and my apron is usually covered in flour by ten in the morning. We don't use any fancy machines, just our hands and a rolling pin. Sometimes the wait for a table gets a bit long on weekends. We just tell people to hang out by the stairs until a spot opens up. It is a simple business and we like it that way. No need for anything complicated when you are just making parathas. We just keep the stove going and the dough rolling.
