Kesar Shree Bhojnalaya

Kesar Shree Bhojnalaya is situated on MR 10 Road in Indore, specifically at the Bombay Hospital Square in Chikitsak Nagar. This area has become very busy over the last decade with all the new buildings and the hospital right there. We are a traditional bhojnalaya, which means we serve simple, home-style meals, mostly in the form of a thali. We have long rows of tables where people sit together. It is not the kind of place where you come for a long, private conversation. It is a place where you come to eat and then get back to your work. We see a lot of people who work at the hospital or nearby shops. The food is basic—rotis, a couple of vegetables, dal, and rice. We make everything fresh every morning and afternoon. The kitchen is always a hive of activity with someone always rolling out dough for rotis. We don't have any fancy decor or air conditioning. We just have a few big fans to keep the air moving. Our prices are kept low so that a common man can eat here every day without worry. The noise of the traffic from MR 10 Road is always in the background. We don't do any advertising. People just know we are here. It is an honest, local spot that has been part of the daily routine for many people in Chikitsak Nagar for quite some time now.
