Jash Garden Restaurant

If you walk toward the Mahalaxmi Nagar Main Gate in Vijay Nagar, you’ll find us. Jash Garden Restaurant is right there, near the Bombay Hospital. It’s a busy part of Indore, but we have a bit of open space which is nice when the weather isn’t too hot. We started this place because we wanted a spot where people could just sit and eat without feeling cramped. The garden needs a lot of watering, especially in the summer months, and I’m usually the one out there with the hose in the evenings. Our kitchen is right at the back, and you can usually smell the onions frying from the street. We get a lot of families from the hospital area who are tired and just want a meal. The tables are simple wooden ones, and sometimes the chairs wobble a bit, so we put a piece of folded paper under the leg. My nephew helps me with the billing, though he’s usually on his phone when it’s slow. We don't have a big menu with fancy names, just the stuff people in Indore like to eat daily. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to light candles, which the customers seem to like anyway. It’s just a regular restaurant run by a family. We work long hours, but it’s what we know.
