VANA VIZARADA HANDLOOMS AND HANDICRAFTS PRODUCER COMPANY LIMITED

We are tucked away in M K Nagar, over in the Karwan area of Hyderabad. The address is 12-2-398/25. It’s a bit of a maze to find if you aren't from around here. Vana Vizarada is a producer company, which basically means a bunch of us got together to work on handlooms and handicrafts. Most of what we do involves traditional methods that take a long time. You won't find any big industrial machines in our workshop. Instead, you'll see people sitting at looms, working the threads by hand. It’s a slow process, but we like it that way. The building we use in Karwan isn't very large, so we have to be organized with where we put the finished goods and the raw materials. Sometimes the light isn't the best, so we move our work closer to the windows. We talk a lot while we work, mostly about our families or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s a real collective effort. We don't have a boss in a fancy office; we just all do our part. The handicrafts we make are simple and honest, just like the way we run the place. We aren't looking to become some huge corporation. We just want to keep the old ways alive and make enough to keep going. It’s a quiet life, mostly, and we are fine with that.
