Sarvodhaya Women Entrepreneurs Cottage Industries Private Limited is what we call ourselves. It is a long name, we know. You can find us at 5-1-103/A/6/6 in Ganesh Nagar. It is a local neighborhood where everyone kind of knows each other. The office isn’t anything special to look at from the outside, but inside there is always something going on. Since it is a cottage industry setup, it feels more like a workshop than a corporate headquarters. We have women coming in and out, working on various projects and making sure everything is moving along. Ganesh Nagar is a lively place to be. There is always the sound of kids playing or street vendors nearby. We do not have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy slogans for us. We just focus on the entrepreneurship part and try to help each other out. The work can be tiring, and some days are better than others, but that is just how it goes when you are running a small-scale operation. We keep our records in big binders and our desks are usually covered in bits of material or notes. Sarvodhaya Women Entrepreneurs is about real people doing real work in their own community. We do not need a lot of polish to do what we do. We just need a bit of space and some time to get the tasks finished correctly.
