We are located in Deewan Devdi, right on the first floor at 22-7-269/1/B. If you’ve ever walked through this part of the city, you know how crowded and lively it can be. There’s a specific energy here that you don’t find elsewhere. At Mohammadia Silk Centre, we deal with silk every single day. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy rolls and measuring out lengths of fabric for people. The shop isn't modern or sleek, but it’s got everything we need to get the job done. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers around us. We spend our time managing the stock and helping whoever walks through the door. It’s not about being the most famous silk shop; it’s just about having a decent place where people can find what they need. Sometimes the stairs up to the first floor feel a bit steep at the end of a long day. We don't have any scripted sales pitches. We just show the silk, talk about the colors, and try to keep things simple. The lights are a bit dim in the back, but we know where everything is. It’s a bit of a maze of fabric, but it’s our maze and we like it that way. We usually have a bit of a chat with the neighbors before we head home for the evening.
