You can find us down on Bandelli Street, which is just off JPN Road. The building number is 8-9-142. It’s an old area and the streets are narrow, but we’ve been here for quite some time. Spinning mills are noisy places, so you can usually hear the machines hum before you even walk through the door. Lakshmi Narayan is what we call the place. It’s not a modern facility with all the latest gadgets, but the machines we have still work just fine. We spend our days watching the spindles and making sure the thread doesn't snap. It’s a lot of standing around and checking things. My hands are usually covered in some kind of lint or oil by the end of the shift. The workers here have been with us for years, and we all just get on with it. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. If someone wants to buy our yarn, they usually just show up or call the landline. We drink our tea outside in the alley when the machines are running smooth. The heat from the mill can be something else in the summer, but we are used to it by now. It’s just regular work for regular people. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We spin thread, and we do it every day.
