Shri Laxmi Marbles

Our business, Shri Laxmi Marbles, is located at No. 506/ 1 Gt Road South. Being on GT Road means we get a lot of trucks passing by all day long. It's a very busy part of the city. We have a lot of heavy stone slabs around the place. Marble is heavy stuff, so moving it around takes some effort. We have different types of stone stacked up against the walls. Some are from nearby and some come from further away. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have a small area where we sit and talk to customers about what they need for their floors or counters. It’s often a bit dusty because of the stone cutting and handling. We don’t really go for a polished look in our office. It’s just a place to do business. Most of the people who come to us are local builders or homeowners who are doing some renovations. We’ve been at this spot for years, and the location on GT Road South is good for getting deliveries in. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when a new shipment of marble arrives. We just handle the daily grind and try to keep the inventory moving. It’s a straightforward trade and we’ve been doing it long enough that it’s just second nature to us now. The traffic can be noisy, but it’s part of being in this area.
