Raijada Marbles

If you come down to Jagacha in Santragachi, you’ll find us easily enough. Raijada Marbles has been sitting here with slabs of stone stacked up for a long time. Dealing with marble is heavy work and it’s never really clean. There is always white dust on our shoes and the sound of someone cutting stone in the back. We don’t have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a yard where you can see the real stuff. People come in looking for something for their floors or kitchens, and we just show them what we have on the lot. We aren't the type to push anyone into buying. We just tell them what is sturdy and what might look nice once it’s polished up. Some days it rains and everything gets muddy, but the work doesn't stop. We have a few guys who have been with us since the start. They know how to handle the heavy slabs without breaking anything. It’s a bit of a rough business, but there is something nice about seeing a piece of stone turn into a floor. We aren't looking to change the world. We just want to make sure the person buying the marble is satisfied with what they get. It’s a local thing, really. Most of our neighbors know us and we just keep things straightforward and simple. We work hard, stay humble, and let the stones speak for themselves.
