Nawab Marble Centre

Nawab Marble Centre is our small business in the village of Bankra. We fall under the Domjur police station area. It is a local place and we’ve been here for quite some time. We deal with marble and other stones for people building houses or fixing up their floors. We don't have a big, fancy building. It’s just an open area where we keep the stock and a small room where we do the paperwork. Most of the people who come to see us are from around Bankra or Domjur. We like it that way because we can talk to them like neighbors. We don't use any corporate language or complicated sales pitches. We just show the marble and tell the price. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, especially during the monsoon rains. The yard gets a bit muddy but we just carry on. We are a small team of local guys. We do all the heavy lifting ourselves. It keeps us busy from morning until evening. We have seen the village change a lot over the years with more buildings going up. It’s good to see progress around here. We don't spend money on big advertisements. We just rely on people telling their friends that we are here and we are honest. It’s a simple business but it keeps us going. We are happy to be part of the community in Bankra.
