Panther Rubber Mfg. Co. sits out in Burikhali, which is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city area. Being in the Howrah district means we deal with the local weather and the pace of life here in the Bauria police station jurisdiction. Our factory is not something you would see in a magazine. It is a practical building where the smell of rubber is pretty much always in the air. We have been operating in the Uluberia sub-division for a good stretch of time now. Some of the guys working here have been with us since the start, coming in from the nearby villages every morning. Working with rubber is messy and it gets hot, especially during the summer months when the machines are running full tilt. We spend a lot of time checking the molds and making sure the batches come out okay. It is noisy and there is always something that needs fixing, like a leaky pipe or a stubborn machine belt. We don't spend money on fancy signs or receptionists. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us on the floor. It is a straightforward way of living and working.
