We’ve been here at No. 5 Ratan Halder Lane for a while now. Liluah is a busy spot, and our shop is right in the middle of it. Mostly, we deal with rubber goods. It gets pretty dusty and loud sometimes because the machines are running most of the day. We don’t have fancy chairs or a big reception area. It’s just us working through the orders people bring in. Sometimes the power goes out or the delivery truck gets stuck in the lane because it's narrow. We just deal with it and keep going. When you come by, you’ll probably see a lot of black rubber scraps on the floor and smell that strong smell of raw material being processed. It’s just how it is. We try to get things done when we say we will, though sometimes things take a bit longer if a machine breaks down or a part is hard to find. My dad started doing this kind of work and now we just carry it on. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just want to do the work right and stay busy. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually take our breaks. If you're looking for us, look for the small gate with the old sign. We are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down, just trying to keep up with what folks need from us in the neighborhood. It is a lot of hard work but it pays the bills.
