About Glory Rubber Eng Corporation – Rubber in Howrah
Our workshop is in Vill- Balarampota, under the Panchla post office in Uluberia. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but this is where the space is. We work with rubber, making different components and parts for engineering uses. It’s dusty work and can get quite hot in the summers, but that’s the nature of the business. You can smell the rubber from the road when the machines are running. We aren't a high-tech facility with robots. It’s mostly manual labor and old-school machines that we’ve maintained for years. The guys here know exactly how the material behaves under heat and pressure. We’ve been in Balarampota for a long time, and most of our workers live in the surrounding villages. We don't have a fancy office for meetings. Usually, if someone comes to see us, we just talk in the shed or near the loading dock. It’s a straightforward operation. We get the raw material, process it, and send out the finished goods. Sometimes orders are late because of power cuts or transport issues on the local roads, but we do what we can. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady. We don't spend money on advertising or shiny brochures. People in the industry know we are here and what we can do. It’s just how things work in this part of Uluberia. We keep our tools ready and just get on with the job every morning. It is hard work but we are used to it.
