Panjatan Rubber Industries

Out here in Raghudevpur, near the Bauria railway station, things move at their own pace. We set up Panjatan Rubber Industries because this area has a lot of history with small workshops. Being close to the station helps when we need to get things shipped out or when someone is coming to visit. Our place in Panchla is pretty straightforward. It’s a work site first and foremost. We spend most of our hours dealing with raw materials and making sure the machinery is running like it should. Sometimes the noise gets to be a bit much, but you get used to it after a few years. It’s not a polished corporate office with air conditioning everywhere. It’s mostly just us in our work clothes, getting our hands dirty. The local area is busy during the commute times, and we see a lot of people passing by on their way to Uluberia. We keep a simple schedule. If the doors are open, we are working. If they aren't, we’ve probably gone home for the day. There’s no big secret to how we run things, just showing up and doing the work that needs to be done. We’ve had the same neighbors for a long time, and we all kind of look out for each other. It’s a decent way to make a living, even if it’s hard work sometimes. We focus on the rubber and don't worry about the rest.
