M. B. Enterprise

We operate M. B. Enterprise out of our place in Burikhali village, right near the post office. Being in the Howrah district means we are connected to the city but we still have that quiet village feel that we grew up with. Our business is pretty rooted in the community here. We handle a variety of supplies that the local people and small businesses need for their daily work. It’s not a high-tech operation at all. We have a storeroom that’s usually packed to the ceiling with bags and boxes of inventory. The office is just a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. Sometimes the power goes out in the village, and we just light a lamp and keep going until the work is done. We know the roads around Bauria like the back of our hands, which really helps when we have to deliver things ourselves to the customers. We don't have a big marketing plan or a corporate structure. It’s just us working hard every day to make sure the orders are filled correctly. People often stop by for tea and a chat while they wait for their stuff to be loaded. It’s a slow-paced way of doing business compared to the big city, but we like it this way. We focus on being reliable and being there whenever someone knocks on the shop door. It’s a family-run thing, and we plan to stay right here.
