About Holy Child Public School – Education in Howrah
Holy Child Public School is located in Vill- Deorah, which is part of the Safaki post area. We fall under the Shyampur police station jurisdiction. It is a rural setting, so things move a bit slower than they do in the towns. Our school is a simple building surrounded by fields and local houses. In Vill- Deorah, everyone knows each other. Most of our students walk to school through the dirt paths. It can get quite muddy when the rains come, and we often have to clean the floors several times a day. We don't have fancy equipment or air conditioning. We just have fans and open windows to catch the breeze. Being near Shyampur, we are a bit far from the main city centers, but we like it that way. The school is a hub for the community here. Parents often stop by the gate to have a quick word with the teachers about their children. It’s a very personal way of doing things. We don't have a website or a marketing department. We just have our classrooms and the playground outside. It’s a place where kids can just be kids while they get their schooling. We manage everything ourselves, from fixing the roof to planning the year's schedule. It's a lot of manual work, but it feels good to be part of Safaki and serving the local families.
