G.P.S. Memorial School

G.P.S. Memorial School is located at P56/ 3 on Benaras Road in the Dasnagar part of Howrah. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of traffic and local shops, so there’s always noise coming from the street. The school itself is a modest building that fits right into the local area. We have kids from all over Dasnagar coming here every morning. The classrooms are basic with wooden desks and blackboards, nothing too modern, but they do the job. We don’t have a huge staff, so everyone chips in with different tasks, whether it’s checking the gate or helping a student with their lunch box. The playground is just a small open space where the children play during their breaks. It gets quite dusty when they’re running around, but they don’t seem to mind. We spend a lot of time talking to parents at the gate and making sure the children are picked up on time. Howrah can be a crowded place, and our corner of Benaras Road is no exception. We try to keep things organized inside the gates even when it’s chaotic outside. There’s no big fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and you’re pretty much in the middle of everything. It’s an honest, local school where the main goal is just to give the neighborhood kids a place to learn their lessons every day. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
