Surendra Caterer

We are caterers based at 12, Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Road in Nabagram. Unlike a restaurant, we don't have people coming in to sit and eat. Most of our work is done in our big kitchen here, and then we load everything into vans and take it to the customer. We have been working in Nabagram for many years now. It is a lot of hard, physical work. We have to carry big pots of food and deal with the heat of the kitchen all day. Most of our orders are for local weddings, birthdays, or family gatherings. We don't have any corporate office or fancy staff. It is just a group of us who know how to cook for large numbers of people. We spend a lot of time on Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Road getting everything ready. The mornings are very busy with people arriving and starting the fires. We don't use any promotional language or talk about being the best. We just do the job we are paid to do. Word of mouth is how most people find us. If someone likes the food at a wedding, they ask for our number. That is how it has always been for us. It is a simple, no-nonsense business. We focus on the cooking and the delivery and don't worry about much else. It is a tough job but it is what we do.
