If you go to Arjapur in the Biloli taluka of Nanded, you’ll find us at Lalu Narsing Shettiwar’s place. That’s where we run Veertara Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s a small operation, mostly just neighbors and local farmers. We aren't a big company with offices in the city. We are right here where the crops are grown. Our days are filled with the usual farming stuff, checking on the fields and talking to the people who grow the food. We don't use fancy language because it doesn't fit what we do. It’s all about the seeds, the water, and the harvest. Sometimes we have to deal with paperwork, which nobody really likes, but it’s part of the job. We started this because we thought working together would be better than working alone. It’s a simple idea, really. We don't have a lot of money for marketing, so we just rely on people knowing us in the village. If you’re passing through Arjapur, you might see us at the post or near the house. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just trying to get by and help our friends do the same. Life in Nanded is quiet, and our work follows that pace. We take it one day at a time, looking at what the season brings us. It's just honest work by people who have lived here forever. We just want to do right by our neighbors and keep our farms going.
