Sant Rambhau Maharaj Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our small group is basically running out of Vishwanath Dattrao's place here in Sirli. It is not an office like you see in the bigger towns, just a room where we can sit down and talk about the crops. Basmath is a good place for farming but the costs keep going up and it makes everyone a bit nervous. We decided to name this after Sant Rambhau Maharaj because it felt right for our community. Most of the time, we are just sitting around a table with some tea, trying to work out how to buy enough fertilizer for everyone without it costing a fortune. The walls at Vishwanath’s house are a bit cracked and the fan makes a loud clicking noise, but it’s where we get the thinking done. We are just local people from Sirli trying to make things a little more stable. If someone has a problem with their tractor or their soil, they usually end up here in the evening. We don't have a big plan or some corporate strategy, we just want to make sure the harvest doesn't go to waste. Sometimes the internet is slow and we can't get the market prices quickly, so we have to call around. It is a slow process and there is a lot of waiting for the rain or waiting for the trucks. We are just doing what we can with what we have in this part of Basmath and hoping for the best each season.
