Basmat is a place where everyone knows everyone, and that makes doing business a bit different. We aren't some big corporation from the city. We are just local people who know about farming because we live it every day. Being a producer company means we work with a lot of the folks around here. It’s about the crops and the hard work that goes into the land. The soil in Hingoli has its own way of doing things. Sometimes it’s tough, especially when the rains are late or the prices aren't good. We just keep pushing forward though. Our setup in the society is pretty basic. We spend most of our time talking to people and trying to figure out how to get things from the field to where they need to go. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours. My family has been around here for a long time, so starting this company felt like a natural step. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and the work. It’s a long road but we are happy to be on it with our neighbors and the community around us.
