Shreekanifnath Maharaj Producer Company Limited

Our company is based in a small village called Sawali Bainarao, which you’ll find in the Aundha taluka of Hingoli district. We use House Number 293 as our main meeting spot and office. Shreekanifnath Maharaj Producer Company is really just a collective of us locals. We aren't some big city outfit with a lot of money. We are the same people you see working in the fields every day as soon as the sun comes up. We deal with whatever the ground gives us in this part of Hingoli, and it’s not always easy. The work is hard, and the rewards aren't ever guaranteed, but we keep at it. We started this group so we wouldn't be at the mercy of every middleman who comes through the village. We meet at the house to discuss who is planting what and how we can sell our crops together to get a better deal. There is a lot of talking and a lot of planning done over cups of tea. The office is just a simple room with some benches and a wooden table. We don't have any fancy signs or glossy papers to hand out. We just have our names and our reputations among our neighbors. Life here is tied directly to the land. Sometimes the rains don't come when we need them, and we have to figure out a new plan. We handle the business side together so we can focus on the farming. It's just neighbors helping each other out.
