Santdugdhahari Mata Farmers Producercompany Limited is based in the village of Kamtha. We are at House No. 90 in the Kalamnuri Taluka of Hingoli. Our name is a bit long, but we just go by the work we do. Being in a place like Kamtha means we are right in the middle of where the farming happens. We focus a lot on what the local farmers are producing. It’s a simple operation run out of a house. We don’t have a big fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have a few chairs and a table where we discuss the daily business. Most of the people in the company are from the nearby families. We started this because it was getting hard to manage everything individually. Now, we do it as a group. It’s much better that way. We don’t have any marketing experts telling us how to speak. We just talk to each other like we always have. If someone has a problem with their cows or their crops, they come to House No. 90. We try to figure out a solution together. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Hingoli is our home, and we are just trying to do something good for the people living here in the village. It is not always easy but we are proud of our small community effort.
