Changefal Sarvadnya Farmer Producer Company Limited

This company, Changefal Sarvadnya Farmer Producer, is basically run by a group of us who live and work around Basmath. We operate out of the place belonging to Shri Nana Mahadu in Changefal, which is right in the Chudawa area. It’s a local setup through and through. We didn’t start this to become some giant company; we just wanted to have a way for the farmers in our village to work together instead of struggling on their own. Most of our time is spent talking to the neighbors and figuring out the best way to handle the crops each season. Basmath is a good place for farming, but it takes a lot of effort to keep things running right year after year. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or big offices with glass walls. It’s just a room with some chairs and a desk where we do the books and talk about the harvest. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads are bad, but we just keep going. Everyone here knows Nana Mahadu’s place, so it’s easy for the local farmers to drop by and see what’s happening with the group. We’re just trying to make sure that the hard work everyone puts into the soil actually pays off. It’s a lot of talking, a lot of planning, and a lot of just being there for each other in the village. That’s pretty much all there is to it for us and we like it that way.
