Sadgirbaba Farmers Producer Company Limited

If you're looking for us, we are at House No. 65 in Ghordari village. It’s in Shengaon, over in Hingoli district. We named it Sadgirbaba after the local history. It's a small place, very rural. Most of us grew up together, went to the same school, and now we farm the same land our fathers did. We realized a while back that trying to sell our crops one by one wasn't working. We were getting pushed around at the market. So we started this producer company. It's just a group of neighbors really. We handle things like turmeric and soybeans mostly. Hingoli is known for that. We don't have a big budget for fancy things. The house where we meet is just a regular home. We sit on plastic chairs and drink tea while we figure out who is taking the tractor where. It’s a lot of manual labor. Sometimes the crops get pests and we all have to scramble to fix it. We aren't experts in business, but we know the soil. We’ve learned a lot about the paperwork side of things lately. It’s a bit of a headache, but we manage. Ghordari is a place where everyone helps everyone else. That’s the spirit we try to keep with the company. It’s not always easy, but we’re still here, doing the work every day. We just take it one season at a time and see how things go.
