Raanshivar Farmer Producer Companylimited is over in Sukali V, which is in the Karamnuri taluka of Hingoli. We are based at Ganpat Topajee Matre’s place. The name of our company refers to the fields, and that is where you will find most of us from dawn until dusk. Hingoli is a quiet place for the most part, but the work on the farm is never quiet. There is always a pump to fix, a fence to mend, or a crop to weed. We started this producer company because we wanted to have more control over our own lives and our produce. Before this, we were always at the mercy of whatever price the local trader decided to give us on that specific day. Now, we try to wait for the right time and sell our goods as a group to get a better rate. It’s a lot of work to organize everyone, and sometimes we have long arguments about who should transport the goods or where we should buy our supplies. But at the end of the day, we are all neighbors and we all want the same thing. We want our crops to be healthy and our families to be fed. We don't have any corporate training; we just have years of experience dealing with the dirt and the rain. It’s a practical way of life, and we are just trying to make it a little bit better for everyone living in Sukali V.
