Our company is called Omkareshwar Grain Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are based in a village called Adgaon in the Basmath area of Hingoli. If you need to find us, we are at Gulab Venkatrao Chavan’s place. We are mostly focused on grains because that’s what everyone around here grows. It’s a group of us who came together to make the grain business a bit easier to handle. In a place like Hingoli, you have to work together or you won't get far. We handle the storage and the selling of the harvest. It’s a very local thing. We don't have any fancy offices with air conditioning. We just meet up at Gulab’s house and figure out the plan for the week. The name Omkareshwar means something to us locally. We try to be fair and honest with everyone who joins the company. It’s not a big corporate machine. It’s just people who know how to farm grains. Sometimes we struggle with the prices at the market, but that's why we have the company. We want to be able to sell in bigger batches. It’s hard work, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate. We just keep our heads down and do the chores. That’s how life is in Adgaon.
