Om Shetkari Farmers Producer Company Limited started in Lohagaon. We stay at house number 215. Hingoli is where we mostly do our things. It is just a group of us from the village. Farming is hard work and doing it alone is even harder. That is why we registered this company. We share ideas about seeds and fertilizers. Some days are long, especially when the rain doesn't come on time. We use the small office at the house to keep our papers and talk about what to plant next season. It isn't a big fancy place, just where we live and work. Neighbors come by to ask what we are doing. We try to help each other out with getting the crops to the market. Sometimes the prices are good, sometimes they are not. That is just how life is here in the Taluq. We don't have a lot of big machines, but we have our hands and we know the soil pretty well. Most of us have been doing this since we were kids. Now we are trying to be more organized with the company name. It's about making sure the families in Lohagaon have enough. We spend a lot of time sitting around outside the house talking about the weather. It is the main thing that decides if we have a good year or a tough one. We just keep going every day.
