Worldmark Restaurants Llp is run out of Unit No 412A in the Success Tower, which sits right on the Golf Course Extension Road in Gurugram. It’s one of those tall buildings in Sector 65 where everything looks very modern from the outside, but inside our office, it’s just a lot of people on phones and computers. Running a group of restaurants involves a lot of boring behind-the-scenes stuff that people don't usually see, like checking invoices and talking to suppliers. The traffic on the extension road is almost always a nightmare, so we spend a good chunk of our day just listening to the horns honking from our window on the fourth floor. We’re not the ones actually flipping the burgers or cooking the food here; this is where the planning and the paperwork happen. Sometimes the elevators in the tower take forever, so we end up standing around chatting with people from the other offices. It’s a busy environment, and things can get a bit stressful when a kitchen equipment order is late or a menu needs changing at the last minute. We don't have a glossy brochure about how great we are. We just show up, do the work, and try to make sure the restaurants have what they need to stay open. Gurgaon is a fast place, and we’re just trying to keep up with the pace of it all without losing our heads.
