V K Steel Enterprises

Our place is Shop No. 1 on Palam Vihar Road, right across from the HP petrol pump. It is a steel enterprise, so we deal with a lot of heavy material every single day. Being right opposite the pump means we see a lot of trucks and cars pulling in and out, which keeps the area busy. The shop is filled with different types of steel sections, pipes, and sheets piled up. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading the materials, which is hard on the back but that is just the job. The road outside can get quite congested, and the dust from the traffic usually finds its way into every corner of the shop. We have a small desk where we keep the ledger and handle the paperwork, but most of our time is spent on the floor moving stock around. It is a very functional space, with no real frills or extra comforts. We just have the steel, the scales for weighing, and the tools for cutting pieces to size. The sun comes across the road in the evening and hits the front of the shop, which is usually when we start thinking about closing up. It is a steady business in Palam Vihar, and we have become a familiar sight for the people who live and work along this road.
