We are up on the 4th floor at unit 416. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens every now and then. Metalworking Lubricants India is a name that sounds pretty technical, and I guess the work is too, but we are just regular people in here. The space is mostly filled with files and some samples of the lubricants we deal with. It has that specific smell of industrial oil, which you stop noticing after the first ten minutes. We do not have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone knocks, whoever is closest to the door just gets up and opens it. The 4th floor is usually quiet enough to get things done without too much distraction. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to customers or checking on inventory. It is a practical kind of job. We do not really bother with fancy decorations on the walls. Maybe a calendar or two and some notes pinned up. We have been at this for a while and we know the routine well. Lunch is usually brought from home and we eat at our desks. It is not a big corporate setup with a cafeteria or anything like that. Just a group of people who know a lot about metalworking fluids and try to keep things running smoothly without making a big fuss about it. We just stay focused on the tasks.
