Unnati Metal Udyog

Unnati Metal Udyog is out in Kanina Mandi, in the village of Kanina Khas. It is a bit of a drive out here in the Mahendragarh district, but it is where the work is. We have a small metal processing unit. It is noisy and there is always a bit of metal dust in the air. We are not a high-tech factory. We use older machines that we know how to fix ourselves when they break down. Most of our work involves basic metal fabrication and supply for local farmers and small builders. The mandi is a busy place, especially during certain times of the year, so we see a lot of foot traffic. We do not have a fancy office with air conditioning. We just have a small room with a fan and a desk where we do the taxes and keep the records. It is hard work and the days are long, especially in the summer. We have been part of this village community for a long time. People know they can come to us if they need a piece of metal cut or a simple gate made. We do not do big marketing campaigns. We just rely on the fact that we have been here and we do what we say we will. It is a quiet life in some ways, but there is always something to weld or grind. We take pride in just getting the job finished properly.
