Tilda Riceland Pvt. Ltd sits right out there at the 42 Kms Stone on the N.H 8, which most people know as the Delhi Jaipur Highway. It’s a long stretch of road, and we see thousands of trucks and cars go by every single day. Being out here means we have plenty of space, which is good because we deal with a lot of rice. It’s not like being in the middle of the city where everything is cramped. We have big warehouses and plenty of room for the trucks to pull in and out. The air is a bit clearer out here, though the highway noise is always in the background. Most of our staff live in the nearby villages and commute in. We start early, usually while the mist is still hanging over the fields. The work is steady and follows the seasons. We don't have a flashy entrance with glass doors. It’s a practical site built for moving goods. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes in and making sure it’s stored properly. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the different sections of the facility. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things running smooth. It’s a big operation, but we still feel like a local team just doing our part out on the highway near the stones.
