You can find us at Shop No 745/1 in Nai Basti, which is part of Katra Neel in the Chandni Chowk area. If you know the neighborhood, you know how crowded and narrow these lanes can be. The Flavours Of Arabia is tucked away in there among all the other shops. It’s a busy place with a lot of history. We spend our days dealing with the constant flow of people walking past our door. It’s noisy and sometimes a bit overwhelming, but it’s home for us. The shop itself is small, so we have to be very organized with how we store everything. We don’t have much room for error. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. Everyone in Katra Neel knows each other, so there’s a bit of a neighborhood feel even with all the tourists and shoppers. We start early because getting supplies through those narrow streets is easier before the crowds arrive. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving crates around. We don’t spend money on ads or anything like that. People find us because they’re exploring Chandni Chowk or because someone told them we were here. We’re just a small part of the chaos of Nai Basti. It’s hard work, and the heat in the summer can be tough, but we just keep the fans running and stay focused on what we need to do to get through the day.
