Steel Authority Of India Limited

We are based in Room No. 310 at the Change Masters building in Gurgaon. This is not a factory or a mine like the other sites. It is inside the Management Development Institute on Mehrauli Road. Because we are part of Steel Authority Of India Limited, we deal with the training and the management side of things here. Gurgaon is a fast-paced city, very different from the steel towns in the east. It is always crowded and the traffic is a nightmare. Our room is just a small office where we coordinate programs and handle the paperwork for staff development. It is a bit quieter than the plant floor, which is a nice change of pace. We do not have many people coming in and out, mostly just staff who are here for the courses. It is a lot of phone calls and emails. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the schedule gets messy. The building is older than the new glass towers you see in the rest of Gurgaon, but it has got character. We do not have any flashy signs. We just do our work, grab lunch at the local spots, and try to make the most of the air conditioning when it is scorching outside. It is just a regular office job in a busy city where we try to stay on top of the paperwork.
