S.R. Steel Industries

S.R. Steel Industries is situated at Plot No. H-35 in the Palra Industrial Area. We are quite close to the Birla City Water Park, which is a bit strange because we are doing heavy steel work while people are having fun nearby. You can sometimes hear the music or splashing when the wind blows the right way. Our shed is just a standard industrial building with high ceilings and plenty of noise. We do different types of steel fabrication and processing. There is always the sound of cutting or grinding going on during the day shifts. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we have to be careful where we step. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for years. The road leading to the industrial area is not the best and gets quite muddy when it rains. We get trucks coming in with raw steel and leaving with finished parts. It is a hot and dusty environment, especially in the summer months. There is no air conditioning in the main workshop, just large fans that move the warm air around. We have a small office corner where we keep the invoices and the phone. It is a very practical setup without any extras. We just focus on getting the orders finished and out the door so we can start on the next one. It is regular work that keeps us all busy and the machines running.
