Rayko Steel India is right by the Bristol Chowk, near that big Rapid Metro Pillar Number 9. If you’re in Sikanderpur or around DLF Phase 1, you’ve probably driven past us many times. Being in Sector 26 means we see all the traffic heading towards the bigger offices, but our shop is much more basic. It’s just Shop Number 1, a small place where we keep our steel supplies. The metro trains rumble overhead every few minutes, which took some getting used to. It’s a dusty spot because of all the construction and the constant flow of cars on the main road. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of steel and a small desk where we handle the paperwork. We don't have air conditioning, so the summers get pretty intense, but we keep the fans going. We mostly deal with local contractors or people working on small building projects in Gurgaon. It’s not a polished corporate office like the ones you see in the tall buildings nearby. We are just regular people providing steel to whoever needs it for their work. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs when things are slow, just watching the commuters rush to the metro station. It’s a busy location, but the work itself is steady and simple. We just focus on what’s in front of us and try to keep the stacks organized. We don't have a website or fancy ads, just this small shop floor where we cut metal to size.
