Raju Scrap

We are located out in Farrukh Nagar in the village of Fazilpur. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city but it works for us. We deal in scrap, so there is always a lot of old metal and plastic piled up around the yard. It might look like a mess to someone passing by but we know where everything is. We spend most of our time sorting through what people bring in. It’s heavy work and my back feels it by the end of the day. We have a couple of guys helping out with the loading and unloading. The village is quiet compared to the town, except for when the big trucks come through to pick up the sorted stuff. We don't have a computer or an office really, just a small desk where we keep the receipts and the scales. The weather plays a big part in our day. When it rains, everything gets muddy and we have to slow down. When it’s sunny, it gets very hot out in the open yard. We’ve been doing this for a long time and it’s a decent way to make a living. People from around the village know they can come to us when they have old things to get rid of. We just take it, weigh it, and pay them. It’s a simple life out here in Fazilpur and we don't need much else. We just keep sorting through the piles of metal day after day.
