Punjabi D

We are over in New Colony, Gurgaon, specifically at Shop No-2 in Saroha Tower. If you’re familiar with the area, we are quite close to Gaba Kothi, which is a big landmark around here. New Colony feels a lot different from the high-rise buildings and malls on the other side of Gurgaon; it’s more of a real neighborhood with narrow streets and local shops. Our shop is small but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into it. Punjabi D has been here for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the way the afternoon sun hits the front of the tower. It gets quite crowded on the sidewalk out front, especially in the evenings when everyone is out running errands. We spend a lot of our time in that small kitchen space, just keeping things moving. It isn't a place for a long, fancy dinner; it’s more for people who want something quick and honest. We don’t do much advertising or anything like that. Most people find us just by walking past or because they live in the nearby apartments. Dealing with the Gurgaon heat and the occasional power cuts is just part of the daily job. We keep the counters wiped down and the food ready for whoever walks in. It’s a straightforward life running a shop like this, and we like the people who stop in to chat while they wait.
