Khandelwal Steel & Cement

You can find us, Khandelwal Steel & Cement, right on the Mehrauli Gurgaon Road in DLF City Phase I. It is an incredibly busy location with cars and buses zooming past every second. Our yard is right there on the main road, and it is usually filled with stacks of iron rods and bags of cement. We have been operating from this spot for several years now. It is a very dusty environment because of all the construction materials, so we are constantly cleaning the front desk. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and displays. It is just a practical warehouse and a small office where we handle the billing. We spend most of our time talking to truck drivers and contractors who need supplies delivered to their sites. The traffic on MG Road is always a problem, so we have to plan our deliveries very early in the morning or late at night. We are a family-run business, and we don't have any corporate layers. You talk directly to us when you come in. We keep a record of everything in big ledgers because we still like doing things on paper sometimes. It is hard work, especially in the heat, but it is what we know. We don't bother with sales tactics. The price of steel changes daily, and we just tell people what it is. It is a simple, honest trade in a fast-moving city.
