Our shop, number 515, is situated on the Palam Gurgaon Road in Dundahera. We are very close to the Hanuman Mandir, which is a good landmark if you are looking for us. The road outside is always packed with traffic, so there is a constant sound of horns and engines. Inside the shop, it is mostly the noise of the welding machine and the grinders. We spend our days making gates, grills, and other steel structures. It is the kind of work that leaves you with dirty hands and soot on your face by the end of the shift. We have a lot of raw iron bars and sheets stacked up against the walls, so there isn't much room to move around. Sometimes we have to do the larger welding jobs right near the entrance. People from the nearby colonies often stop by to see if we can fix a broken hinge or make a small frame for them. We do not have a fancy waiting area or an office. If you want to talk to us, you just have to step inside and find us among the sparks. It is hot work, especially in the summer months, but we just keep at it. We have been part of this neighborhood for a long time now. We finish the work, lock up the shutters, and do it all again the next morning without much fuss.
