Jindals

Jindals is right at Gandhi Chowk in Sadar Bazar. If you know Sadar Bazar, you know it is one of the most crowded and hectic places you can find. Gandhi Chowk is like the center of it all. There is constantly noise from rickshaws, people shouting, and carts being pushed through the narrow lanes. Our shop has been here for a long time. It’s an old building with high ceilings and walls that have been painted over more times than I can count. We don't have fancy displays or glass windows. Everything is a bit more traditional and straightforward. We keep our stock piled up, and we know exactly where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. It is a very busy environment. You have to be okay with the heat and the crowds to work here. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. By midday, the whole area is buzzing. We don't really use computers for everything; a lot of things are still written down in ledgers. It’s just the way we have always done it. There is a real sense of history in these streets. You see the same delivery guys and the same tea sellers every single day. We are just a small part of this big market. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but we are used to the pace of Sadar Bazar. We've seen many changes, but the chowk stays the same.
