Out here in Pathredi, things are a bit quieter than in the middle of Gurgaon. We’re set up in the VPO area, so it’s got that village-meets-industry feel that you find in this part of Haryana. The roads can be a bit bumpy depending on the season, especially when the monsoon hits. We deal with stainless steelway operations from this location. It’s a big space because you need room for all that metal to sit. Most of the people working here are from the surrounding districts, so it feels like a local shop even though the name is big. We don’t have a lot of corporate polish. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks. Some days the power cuts out, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else in the area. It’s a practical way of living and working. You see a lot of tractors and trucks passing by the gate every hour. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making sure the steel goes out to whoever needs it. It’s a decent place to work if you don't mind getting your hands a bit dirty. We know the neighbors, and they know us. It’s just a regular spot in a regular village, doing what we know how to do without any extra fuss or noise.
