J. C. Steel Products

You can find J. C. Steel Products at 73, Sector 23-A. It’s an industrial area, so there are plenty of other shops around us, but we stay busy with our own metalwork. The main thing we do is work with steel, whether that’s cutting it, bending it, or just storing it for someone. The shop floor is always covered in small bits of metal, and you have to watch where you step. It’s a noisy place with the grinders and the saws going most of the time. We aren't big on decorations here. The walls are mostly bare except for some calendars and maybe a few old tools hanging up. Sector 23-A is a practical place to be for this kind of business. We get deliveries of raw steel and then we spend the week turning it into whatever the orders require. Most of us have been working with steel for a long time, so we don't need to talk much to get the job done. We just know what needs to happen. It’s hot work in the summer, and the steel gets cold in the winter, but we just wear the right gloves and keep going. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy. We just handle the steel and try to make sure we don't waste any material. It’s just a regular day-to-day operation here, and that seems to work out just fine for everyone involved.
