We run Dbr Foods out of a small place at 23-A in Sarai Alahwardi. It’s a busy little area, and we’re right in the middle of it. We deal with food supplies and getting things ready for customers who need ingredients. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but inside we stay busy packing and sorting everything out. Handling food means we have to be careful about how things are stored and moved, so that takes up most of our energy. There's usually a truck or two out front loading up in the mornings. We aren't some massive corporation with a huge warehouse; it’s more of a hands-on operation where we know every bag and box that goes out the door. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, especially when it’s raining and we have to keep everything dry, but we manage. My family and a few helpers do the bulk of the work. We’ve been in Sarai Alahwardi for a bit now and we like the community here. It feels like a real neighborhood where people actually talk to each other. We don't spend money on fancy ads because most of our business comes from people just knowing we’re here at 23-A. It’s honest work and it keeps us fed. We just focus on keeping the food fresh and getting it to where it needs to go on time without making a big fuss about it.
