Working near the Gurgaon Kutchery means there is always something going on. Dawar Metal has been here for a long time, right in the thick of all that legal and administrative hustle. It’s a noisy area with lawyers, clerks, and people coming from all over for their paperwork. Our shop deals with metal goods, and it’s a bit of a grit and grease kind of job. The floor is usually covered in some shavings or dust from the materials. We don't have a big fancy showroom. It's just a practical space where we keep the inventory. People come to us when they need specific metal pieces for their projects or repairs. Sometimes they bring in old parts to see if we have a match. It’s a lot of lifting and measuring. The heat in the summer gets pretty bad inside the shop, so we keep the fans running all day long. We've seen Gurgaon change so much from this spot. What used to be empty land is now full of buildings. But the Kutchery area stays busy as ever. We like the routine of it. Opening up early, moving the heavy stuff around, and talking to the regulars who have been coming to us for years. It’s just honest work with metal and tools. We don't put on any acts here. It is just us and the metal we work with every day. Sometimes it is tiring, but it is what we know.
