Cosmic Kitchen Pvt. Ltd. is at 131, Udyog Vihar Phase-1 in Gurgaon. Being in Gurgaon means everything moves fast and it never really seems to quiet down outside. Our kitchen is where all the noise happens. We have large pots, stoves that stay hot all day, and a crew that knows how to move around each other without bumping into things. It’s a bit of a dance, honestly. The floors are always getting mopped because things spill when you are in a hurry. We handle a lot of food prep here, so there is always the smell of spices or frying onions in the air. It gets into your clothes after a long shift. We started out small and just kept adding a table here and a shelf there as we needed more room. It’s not a fancy restaurant kitchen you’d see on TV. It’s an industrial space meant for getting a lot of work done. The lights are bright, and the stainless steel tables are always being scrubbed down. We have a small area where we keep the records and talk to suppliers, but mostly we are on our feet. Mostly, we focus on getting the food ready on time so the delivery vans aren't waiting around. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but we’ve got a good group of people who don't mind getting their hands dirty. Every day is a bit different, and we just keep the stoves burning.
