Tarsem Vaishno Dhabha

We are located right in the middle of Super Bazar near Gandhi Chowk here in Pathankot. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets during the afternoon market hours. My name is Tarsem and this dhabha has been our daily life for years. We do simple veg food because that’s what we know best. It’s not one of those big air-conditioned places you see in the city. We have basic wooden tables and the kitchen is right there so you can hear the pots and pans clanging. The smell of dal and fresh rotis is always in the air. Sometimes it gets a bit smoky when the stove is going full blast, but nobody seems to mind much. We get a lot of shopkeepers from the bazaar coming in for lunch because we’re close by. It’s a loud place with people talking and the traffic noise from Gandhi Chowk coming in through the door. I try to keep things clean, but it’s hard when so many people are coming and going all day long. We don't have a big menu, just the usual things we make fresh every morning. It’s just me and two other guys working here. We don't spend money on fancy signs or lights. We just focus on getting the food out to the tables while it’s still hot. That is all we really care about at the end of the day.
